International Journal of Second and Foreign Language Education (IJSFLE) is an international refereed journal dedicated to promoting and disseminating modern practical and theoretical knowledge, scholarly exchanges, and exploring pedagogical approaches and implications in second language education. Interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research addressing and exploring theoretical and practical issues of foreign and second language education in relation to linguistics, cognitive science, neuroscience, and social-cultural studies are highly welcomed for consideration.
The IJSFLE journal is particularly dedicated to reporting unpublished high-quality research on theoretical and empirical aspects of second and foreign language education. The publication language is English, however, the journal addresses topics and subjects concerning the learning and teaching of any language, with coverage ranging from the second language acquisition, and instructed and non-instructed settings to diverse aspects of the education process, including syllabus design, materials selection, classroom practices, and assessment tools.

Submissions will be subjected to an anonymous review carried out by at least two internal or external referees, specialists in the field.

The journal publishes two types of articles:

  • Original research articles (generally between 6,000 and 10,000 words, including references)
  • Review essays (8,000 to 12,000 words)

IJSFLE seeks to promote and disseminate knowledge of the various topics of e-learning Research. Disciplinarily, submissions are thus welcome from all fields of inquiry since the editors recognize that in many cases high-quality research may not fit into any predetermined category.
